It was a nice sprinkly day. Great for lying on the couch and watching a movie. Flipping through the channels I found "Soylent Green". This is an oldie that everyone has heard of but few have probably seen. It takes place in Future New York which is overcrowded and underfed. My kind of movie! It's really going to happen eventually.
Anyway, the premise of this movie is awesome but the movie itself is quite boring. It was probably a blockbuster back in it's day in 1979. It would be a great movie to remake to today's standards. I'm usually against remakes but I think this would be a good candidate. And what ho? According to IMDB a rename is scheduled to be released in 2012. How appropriate. The old version is still worth watching. It is a classic after all.
